Very clean and friendly staff keep up the good work goodlife
The club is visibly clean and a person is seen randomly wiping down equipment. That being said staff is reluctant to prompt members to show respect by wiping down heavy use equipment after leaving a puddle of sweat on machines. Also some of these same members will leave 100's of lbs of plates on equipment and walk away. Some broken, loose or seized equipment was reported but not addressed. At times the washrooms run out of hand soap or paper towels which don't get replaced same day after reported.Past winter the toilets were clogged and unusable for same day. Lastly I have seen smart phone selfies in the changing area and mentioned this to staff but after different occurrences it appears there is no active enforcement.
This GoodLife is a great gym for the size of the town (New Glasgow). The only issues that I have noticed are the removal of Towel Services for members who have paid for it (no reduction in rate, although this falls under the national plan so that's understandable if you use other locations) and the very dark weightroom. The staff are courteous and friendly, clean facilities and an excellent manager. If you are used to city GoodLife gyms, you will be very underwhelmed as this location looks nothing like most others in layout or size.

The club is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful but I am not pleased by the fact that the showers are shut off after 8pm on weeknights and after 2 pm on weekends. I value the opportunity for a shower after a heavy workout and this limits my options.
